Every note of Pelagos is presented under a prism of joyous, spirited luminosity, reflecting the extraordinary light of Greece. There, gazing at the sky and sea merging in the horizon, I felt that anything was possible.

THOUGHTS

Pelagos is a marine fragrance inspired by the Aegean Sea, evoking the gentle and tranquil atmosphere of a calm seaside. Fresh yet soft, it carries a soothing quality that feels both airy and comforting on the skin.

The top notes open with a sea breeze accord reminiscent of a classic men’s cologne. Bergamot and litsea cubeba add a light, crisp freshness, creating a clean and refreshing introduction. On my skin, there is also a subtle woody nuance with a faint hint of spice, adding a quiet individuality to the scent.

As it moves into the heart, the creamy texture of orris butter softens the initial spiciness, rounding it into a smoother and more refined impression. This is joined by the gentle herbal character of white thyme and a delicate almond-like sweetness from tonka bean. Together, they blend seamlessly with the sea breeze accord, creating a calm and serene atmosphere—like being wrapped in a soft ocean breeze.

In the base, leather plays a distinctive role. On a blotter, it can appear sharp, reminiscent of freshly shaved pencil wood, but on the skin it serves to anchor the composition, adding structure and a subtle depth that tightens the overall scent.

Although Pelagos may initially come across as masculine, it is never overly sharp and can be comfortably worn as a unisex fragrance. It shines particularly well in the summer, offering a refreshing yet soothing presence that feels especially pleasant in the heat.

Pelagosは、エーゲ海をテーマにしたマリンフレグランスで、穏やかな海辺にいるかのようなやさしく静かな空気感を纏う香水です。爽やかでありながらもどこか柔らかく、心を落ち着かせるような香り立ちが特徴です。

トップノートでは、クラシックなメンズコロンを思わせるシーブリーズアコードが広がります。ベルガモットやリツェアクベバが加わることで、軽やかでさっぱりとした印象に仕上がり、清潔感のある爽快なスタートを感じさせます。私の肌では、軽いウッディな香りがあり、わずかにスパイシーなニュアンスも現れ、香りにさりげない個性を添えています。

ハートノートに移ると、オリスバターのクリーミーな質感がそのスパイシーさをやさしく包み込み、全体をまろやかに整えていきます。さらにホワイトタイムの穏やかなハーバル感と、トンカビーンのほのかなアーモンドの甘さが加わり、トップのシーブリーズアコードと美しく調和します。その香りは、まるで海風に包まれるかのような、静かで心地よい印象を与えます。

ベースノートで印象的なのはレザーの存在です。ムエットでは鉛筆を削ったときのようなシャープなニュアンスが感じられますが、肌の上ではハートノートを引き締め、香り全体に落ち着いた輪郭を与えます。

Pelagosは一見すると男性向けの香りに感じられますが、決してシャープすぎることはなく、ユニセックスで楽しめるバランスを持っています。特に夏の季節に美しく映える、暑さの中でこそ心地よいマリンフレグランスです。
