THOUGHTS

Erawan is often classified as a gourmand fougère, but on the skin it reveals something quite different—a scent of hay gently infused with warm vanilla. It feels natural and evocative, as if you were standing in a sunlit field rather than wearing a conventional fragrance.

The top notes open with the soft woodiness of petitgrain and the green, leafy character of clary sage. On my skin, these notes unfold with the warmth of body heat, creating the impression of being surrounded by dry grass and open air—calm, earthy, and quietly atmospheric.

As it transitions into the heart, hay becomes more prominent, deepening the pastoral quality of the fragrance. At the same time, a warm vanilla sweetness begins to emerge, adding a gentle, comforting contrast. On skin, the vanilla blends with a subtle woody nuance, evoking the feeling of being inside an old wooden building in Thailand, where aged timber and rich sweetness coexist in a unique harmony.

In the base, tonka bean anchors the composition, acting almost like a soft adhesive that allows the scent to linger on the skin. Its smooth, slightly sweet character extends the warmth of the fragrance, leaving a calm and lasting impression.

While the presence of clary sage, oakmoss, and tonka bean suggests a gourmand fougère structure, Erawan feels far more natural and atmospheric in wear. The warmth of vanilla intertwined with the airy texture of hay creates a unisex fragrance that feels both comforting and quietly distinctive. It wears beautifully in spring as well as in autumn and winter, when its gentle sweetness becomes especially pronounced.

Erawanはグルマンフゼアに分類される香水ですが、実際に肌に纏うと、牧草の中にやわらかなバニラが溶け込むような、どこか素朴で温かみのある香りが広がります。香調のイメージ以上に情景的で、自然の中に身を置いているかのような感覚を与えてくれる一本です。

トップノートでは、プチグレインのほんのりとしたウッディさと、クラリセージのグリーンで葉のようなニュアンスが現れます。私の肌では体温とともにその印象が広がり、まるで乾いた牧草地に立っているかのような、ナチュラルで穏やかな空気感を感じさせます。

ハートノートに移ると、干し草の香りがより前面に出て、牧草のイメージがさらに強まります。同時にバニラの温かく柔らかな甘さが現れ、素朴さの中に心地よいぬくもりを添えます。特に肌の上では、バニラとウッディなニュアンスが重なり、タイの古い建物にいるかのような、年月を経た木の香りと濃厚な甘さが印象的に感じられます。

ベースノートでは、トンカビーンが香り全体をまとめ上げ、まるで肌に溶け込むように長く余韻を残します。やさしい甘さと落ち着いたウッディさが一体となり、静かに持続します。

クラリセージやオークモス、トンカビーンといった構成からはグルマンフゼアの印象を受けますが、実際にはよりナチュラルで情景的な香りです。バニラの温もりと牧草の空気感が調和した、ユニセックスで楽しめる一本。春や秋冬に纏うことで、その柔らかな甘さがより美しく引き立ちます。
