CONCEPT

“Cavatina is music to the soul, a fragrant hymn to human compassion conducted with the spirit of “joie de vivre”. Starting with my love for vintage lily of the valley-centered scents, I composed my own floral accords that ended up dancing together in a melodious perfume.”

“The poem of Cavatina represents well the choice of raw materials that I used in this creation.

Wishing to give the fragrance a modern touch,

I created my own Muguet Accord.

I used it like the main color in an aquarelle painting: softly blended with a variety of other floral notes such as Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang, and Tea Rose Accord, accented with luminous aldehydes.

Warm Heliotrope, sensual Vanilla and aromatic Siamese Woods complete a perfume that is altogether current and timeless.

The objective is to create the unique contemporary touch of fresh Muguet perfume in the style of French Perfumery.”

THOUGHTS

Cavatina is a lily-of-the-valley fragrance that feels perfectly suited for the transition from spring to summer. Light, airy, and transparent, it evokes the gentle freshness of morning air and a garden touched by dew.

The top notes open with a delicate green floral accord, reminiscent of being in a garden early in the morning. Bergamot and litsea add a refreshing green brightness, while the true star of the fragrance—lily of the valley—emerges with remarkable clarity. It feels as though the flowers are covered in morning dew, offering a fresh and luminous transparency. This clean and airy quality remains consistent from the opening through to the drydown. On a blotter, the green nuances appear slightly more pronounced.

After some time, a tea rose accord appears alongside jasmine, ylang-ylang, and tuberose. While still floral, these notes remain delicate and refined, preserving the fresh atmosphere established in the opening. The tea rose accord does not dominate but instead gently envelops the lily of the valley, enhancing its soft and transparent character. The overall impression is fresh, clean, and effortlessly wearable.

In the drydown, sandalwood and ambrette seed softly anchor the fragrance to the skin, leaving a gentle and elegant trail.

Although Cavatina may initially seem like a feminine floral fragrance, its refined and clean character makes it equally wearable for men. Elegant, fresh, and understated, it is a versatile unisex scent that shines especially during the spring and early summer months.

JAPANESE SUMMARY

Cavatinaは、春から夏へと移り変わる季節に最もよく似合う、軽やかで透明感のあるスズランの香水です。朝の空気のように清らかで、優しく肌に寄り添うフローラルの香りが印象的です。

トップノートは、朝の庭にいるかのようなグリーンフローラルの軽やかな香りから始まります。ベルガモットやリツェアが爽やかなグリーンのニュアンスを添え、そして主役であるスズランが現れます。そのスズランは、まるで朝露をまとったかのようにフレッシュで透明感があり、この清らかな印象はCavatinaの始まりからラストまで一貫して続きます。ムエットでは、よりグリーンのニュアンスが際立って感じられます。

やがて、ティーローズアコードにジャスミン、イランイラン、チュベローズが加わり、繊細なフローラルの香りへと移ろいます。いずれも主張が強すぎることはなく、トップノートの雰囲気を踏襲しながら、フレッシュで清潔感のある印象を保ちます。ティーローズアコードも控えめに香り、スズランの透明感を優しく包み込みます。軽やかで上品な印象のため、非常に纏いやすい香りです。

ドライダウンでは、サンダルウッドとアンブレットシードが香りを肌にそっと定着させ、やわらかく穏やかな余韻を残します。

フローラルの香水でありながら、上品で清潔感のある印象のため、女性だけでなく男性でも纏いやすいユニセックスな魅力を持つ一本です。春から初夏にかけて、日常使いにも最適な、軽やかで透明感あふれる香りです。
