CONCEPT

17 Nandan Road by Ulrich Lang New York is named after the street address for Shanghai’s Guangqi Garden where Osmanthus flowers can be found in full bloom during the month of October.

17 Nandan Road is a richly contrasted fragrance that mixes crisp top notes of green leaves, Sicilian lemon and bergamot with Osmanthus, the soft qualities of suede, musk and Ambrox. A uniquely faceted floral fragrance, 17 Nandan Road is sultry and addictive.

Ulrich Lang New York selected Chinese author and poet, Song Yuan, for her visual interpretation of 17 Nandan Road. Yuan photographed a dizzying visual of flowering Osmanthus blooms. The outside packaging mirrors the color of the Osmanthus flower, giving it a vivid, young and contemporary vibe.

THOUGHTS

17 Nandan Road is a light and airy osmanthus fragrance that evokes the feeling of being in a sunlit park. It creates a gentle and peaceful atmosphere, like standing beneath warm, soft sunlight.

The fragrance opens with fresh notes of bergamot and lemon, followed by a subtle green leaves note that introduces a delicate green nuance. This refreshing combination naturally brings to mind the image of a quiet park surrounded by nature.

After a while, the osmanthus begins to emerge. The scent resembles the delicate sweetness of real osmanthus, while iris adds a soft, slightly powdery touch. It blends beautifully with the skin, and on my skin, the osmanthus remains gentle and radiant. The overall impression feels light, warm, and reminiscent of sunlight filtering through leaves.

In the drydown, dry cedarwood and soft suede appear, adding depth and smoothness. Musk and ambroxan further enhance the skin-like quality, allowing the fragrance to settle into a soft and comforting finish.

As an eau de toilette, 17 Nandan Road has a moderate longevity of around three to four hours. However, this lighter concentration contributes to its airy and warm character. The result is a graceful and delicate osmanthus fragrance, perfect for enjoying a soft and gentle atmosphere.

17 Nandan Roadは、軽やかな金木犀が印象的な、柔らかな日差しの公園を思わせる香水です。ベルガモットとレモンの爽やかなシトラスにグリーンノートが重なり、やがてパウダリーなアイリスを伴ったオスマンサスが現れます。ラストではシダーウッドやスエード、ムスク、アンブロキサンが加わり、肌に馴染む柔らかなウッディノートへと変化します。オードトワレらしい軽やかさで、持続時間は約3〜4時間ながら、温かく穏やかな空気感を楽しめる上品な金木犀の香りです。
