CONCEPT

The visual for APSU, the work of photographer Matthew Porter, is a simple palm leaf showcasing the beauty of nature.

The name APSU, used in mythology for “fresh water,” hints to the watery notes found in its composition. The fragrance was developed with the concept of uniting minimalism with freshness. APSU is more of a scent than a heavy, complex fragrance — a nod to a simpler lifestyle not easily found in today’s complex world.

APSU grabs your attention instantly with its bright blend of lush green notes drenched in clear water.

Top notes consist of crunchy greens mixed with sunny bergamot to capture the lush and vibrant spirit of nature and water in warmer climates.

Middle notes consist of white tea, dewy jasmine and iris making the scent sophisticated, clean and inviting.

Rounding out the scent is a smooth sensual blend of white musk, frankincense and amber-like woods that creates warmth and adheres to skin. APSU redefines freshness.

THOUGHTS

Apsu is a fragrance that evokes the fresh, green scent released when flower stems are cut at a florist. It captures the vivid, watery greenness of freshly cut plants, as if the vitality of nature had been bottled.

In the opening, the scent of crunchy greens fills the air. The aroma resembles crushed plant stems, vividly bringing to mind the atmosphere of a flower shop. On paper, hints of cilantro and bergamot gradually appear, softening the intense green character with a subtle citrus freshness.

As time passes, the sharp green notes fade, and on my skin, a gentle floral accord emerges, featuring jasmine petals and white tea. Rather than the overwhelming scent of a full bouquet, it feels like the delicate fragrance of just a few freshly purchased flowers, creating a clean and airy impression.

In the drydown, amber, musk, and frankincense settle softly into the skin, leaving a calm and comforting trail. At first, the strong green note felt slightly challenging, but once applied to my skin, the warmth of my body softened the fragrance, transforming it into a transparent green scent.

Apsu ultimately becomes a fragrance that feels like spring captured in a bottle—fresh, soft, and full of gentle transparency.
