THOUGHTS

The first thing to take into consideration is that I’m not fond of sticky, sweet vanilla scents, and that I live in Bangkok, where the climate is hot and summery.

TWENTY FOUR SEVEN is a perfume with a realistic vanilla scent. The vanilla note is not overly sweet – it’s pleasantly fresh and feels very refined and elegant. I can detect a hint of amber, but it’s not very noticeable. I think vanilla scents are generally more suited to colder seasons, but this one is still perfectly wearable here in Bangkok.

However, if you’re into the current trend of sweet, dessert-like gourmand fragrances or looking for a perfume with strong projection and long-lasting sillage, TWENTY FOUR SEVEN might not be the right choice for you. I think this fragrance is best suited for those who appreciate the natural sweetness of vanilla.

The projection isn’t very strong, and on my skin, the scent lasts for about three hours. TWENTY FOUR SEVEN costs $320, and I believe it’s possible to find similar scents at a lower price. If you are willing to spend that much, you might also discover something more distinctive or unique. In that sense, I can understand why some people describe TWENTY FOUR SEVEN as a “boring” fragrance.
